EAST ANGLIAN AIR AMBULANCE
Ian & Wendy's Story
SubMotion's second patient film for the East Anglian Air Ambulance centres around Ian and Wendy, and the traumatic turn of events one night. Ian suffered a cardiac arrest, and before emergency services arrived, his wife, Wendy, performed 18 minutes of life saving CPR. Which in itself is extraordinary.
With the support from the EAAA team, Ian was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital. His story is phenomenal and their devotion to each other and their family is inspiring.
Films such as this are a powerful reminder of how impactful storytelling can be.
Creating this video required a sensitive approach to ensure Ian and Wendy’s experience was shared authentically and with compassion. We worked closely with EAAA’s team to understand their vision and key messaging, ensuring every element aligned with their goals, as well as authentically telling this story. From pre-production planning to on-set filming and post-production, we took great care to deliver a film that would resonate deeply with viewers and reflect the vital role EAAA plays in our community.
The result was a moving and powerful video that has been well received by EAAA and its audience. We’re incredibly proud to have played a part in sharing such an important message, helping to raise awareness of the charities life-saving work and the amazing ability we have as humans to step up in the moment, and in Wendy's case, save a life.
